Booth Display: 10 Details That Make a Difference

Curating your market booth display can be hard, but it makes a huge difference in your sales, how customers remember you, whether your current customers can find you, and more. If you’re struggling with your booth display right now, here is a list of 10 details that you can address that could make a huge difference.

  1. Keep your product offerings simple. Avoid crowding all of your products into a small space and instead showcase 1 or 2 variations of each product. This helps make sure your customers aren’t overwhelmed and can make a decision to purchase with ease.

  2. Use levels and try to put your products as close to eye level as possible. This makes it easy to see your products as customers are walking by, and creates a more casual shopping experience.

  3. Consider: does my booth match my branding? Are you accenting your booth with your brand colors/aesthetic? Try simplifying your booth so that all of your displays are one color or tone, and use 1-2 accent colors that match your logo. Keep it uniform, but also make it unique to you.

  4. Use QR codes for your instagram, website, and venmo. This makes it easy for your customers to connect with you or explore other aspects of your business while you’re busy with other customers.

  5. Create an experience- this might mean your customers walk into your booth to see your products, you’re doing a demonstration in your booth, or something else. The point is to be memorable.

  6. Simplify your prices. Use increments of $5, and try not to have more than a $30 difference between your highest priced products and your lowest priced products in the same category.

  7. Create contrast between your products and your display. If your products are brightly colored, use a lighter tablecloth, display shelf, etc. Try only using color in your display as an accent, and in small doses.

  8. Try using tent walls or a backdrop to cut out the noise of the market. This puts the focus on your products. This can also be achieved by using levels to display your products, if the displays fill enough space.

  9. Put your business cards, QR codes, etc. near the front of your booth so they’re easily accessible passing by or on the way out.

  10. Consider who your audience is (age, gender, interests) and ask yourself if they’re going to be attracted to the look and feel of your booth.
