The Missoula Makers Market

Thoughtful. Curated. Intentional.

What is the Missoula Makers Market

The Missoula Makers Market is a thoughtfully curated and purposefully advertised market of local handmade artists hosted in the summer and winter. The market seeks to showcase existing and emerging talent in the Missoula area in order to create visibility around makers and handmade products. We believe that the entire community benefits when you shop handmade, and so we’re increasing access to handmade products.

FAQ’s

  • 5% of all booth fees gathered go towards the Making Missoula Grant Fund, and the remaining goes towards upfront costs for hosting the markets and to paying wages for our part time market coordinators.

  • We do a combination of social media and radio advertising, along with postering and news features! Our biggest tool is our makers- through sharing our posts, our makers help us reach all new audiences all the time!

  • It all depends on how much space we have! We will always squeeze in as many makers as is comfortable/safe/fair. Our summer markets currently have a maximum of 35 vendor spaces available, while our winter markets are expanding to 55-60 vendor spaces.

  • Since we are carefully and intentionally curating our markets to create a specific consumer experience, we do not accept everyone that applies. Instead, we are looking at a variety of factors, including: product type, business maturity, and social media presence, among others.
